Using the service

Purffle Tools is free to use, with no account and no usage limit, for personal and commercial purposes alike. You do not need permission and you do not owe attribution.

Your files remain yours

You keep every right you had in anything you process here. We claim no licence over your files, no ownership of the output, and no right to use either for any purpose. Most tools never receive your file at all; the ones that do delete it within the hour, as described in the privacy policy.

What you agree not to do

• Process files you have no right to process — including removing password protection from documents that are not yours or that you are not authorised to open. The unlock tool requires you to supply the password for exactly this reason.
• Use the service to infringe copyright or to circumvent access controls.
• Automate requests at a volume that degrades the service for other people. The API is rate-limited; deliberately working around those limits is not on.
• Attempt to attack, overload or gain unauthorised access to the service.
• Upload malware, or content that is unlawful where you are.

No warranty — and what that means in practice

The service is provided as it is, with no warranty of any kind. We do not promise it will be available, that it will produce a correct result, or that it will suit your purpose.

The practical advice matters more than the legal formula: keep your original files. Compression is lossy and cannot be undone. Conversion out of PDF involves inference and can get it wrong. Removing a password cannot be reversed if you then lose it. Check the output before you rely on it, and before you discard the input.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of this service — including lost, corrupted or altered files, lost profits, or lost time. This is a free service run by one person; the liability we can reasonably accept is nil, and pretending otherwise would be dishonest.

Availability

Tools may change, move or be withdrawn. The browser-based tools continue to work for as long as the page is open, even if our server is down, because they do not use it. Server-based tools depend on infrastructure that occasionally fails.

Accuracy of what we claim

Where a tool states a limit, a behaviour or a privacy property, we intend that statement to be literally true and testable — including "this file never leaves your device", which you can verify in your browser's network tab. If you find a claim on this site that is not accurate, tell us and we will correct it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Chennai, Tamil Nadu have jurisdiction over any dispute.
