    Taking a few pages out

You have a 90-page document and you need pages 12 to 15. Extracting builds a new PDF containing only those pages and leaves the original untouched on your machine.

The pages field takes ranges: 12-15, or 3, 8, 20-24 for a scattered selection, or 40- for everything from page 40 to the end. Selected pages appear in the new document in the order you list them, so 5, 1, 3 genuinely produces that order — extraction and reordering in one step.

Extract, delete, split — which one

These three overlap and people pick the wrong one constantly.

Extract and delete are opposites of one another; choosing whichever lets you type the shorter list is the practical rule.

    Nothing is re-rendered

Pages are copied as complete objects. Text stays selectable, links keep working, fonts and images come across untouched, and the extracted pages are byte-for-byte what they were in the original.

    It runs on your device

Under 250 MB this happens entirely in your browser — no upload, instant, and the document never leaves your machine. That matters when the pages you are pulling out are from a contract or a bank statement.

    Bookmarks and forms

Bookmarks pointing at pages you did not keep are dropped, since they would lead nowhere. Form fields on extracted pages come across, though fields calculated from pages you removed will no longer have their inputs.

    Common questions

How do I select scattered pages?

Separate them with commas: 3, 8, 20-24 works.

Can I change the order while extracting?

Yes. Pages appear in the order you list them, so 5, 1, 3 produces exactly that.

What is the difference from splitting?

Extract makes one file from the pages you name. Split makes several files at once, one per range.

    Does it reduce quality?

No. Pages are copied as objects, not re-rendered.

    Is my document uploaded?

Not under 250 MB — it is processed in your browser.

    What happens to bookmarks?

Ones pointing at pages you did not keep are dropped, since they would lead nowhere.
