Comma-separated page numbers, for example 3,1,2,4.

Putting pages back in the right order

Scanners are the usual culprit. Feed a double-sided stack through a single-sided scanner and you get all the odd pages followed by all the even ones. Photograph a document page by page and one shot inevitably lands out of sequence.

You give the new order as a list of page numbers, and the document is rebuilt to match: 3,1,2 puts page three first. The list is the finished order, read left to right.

    The odd-and-even case

It is worth spelling out, because it is much the most common reason people come here. A ten-page double-sided document scanned as two passes gives you pages 1,3,5,7,9 followed by 2,4,6,8,10. The order that fixes it is 1,6,2,7,3,8,4,9,5,10. If the second pass came out backwards — as it does when you flip the whole stack — it is 1,10,2,9,3,8,4,7,5,6.

    Duplicating and dropping

The list is taken literally, which makes two more things possible. Name a page twice and it appears twice — useful for a separator or a repeated form. Leave a page out entirely and it does not appear at all, so reordering can delete in the same pass.

    Nothing is re-rendered

Pages are copied as objects into the new sequence, so text stays selectable, links keep working and image quality is untouched. Reordering never degrades a document.

    It runs on your device

Under 250 MB the work happens in your browser, with no upload and no waiting.

If the pages are also upside down

A stack fed in the wrong way round often needs rotating as well as reordering. Rotate PDF handles that, and can be applied to specific pages rather than all of them.

    Common questions

How do I fix an odd-then-even scan?

For ten pages, the order is 1,6,2,7,3,8,4,9,5,10. If the second pass ran backwards, use 1,10,2,9,3,8,4,7,5,6.

    Can I repeat a page?

Yes. Name it twice and it appears twice.

What if I leave a page out?

It is dropped, so you can reorder and delete in one step.

    Does it affect quality?

No. Pages are copied as objects, not re-rendered.

    Is there a limit?

Up to 3,000 pages, and under 250 MB it runs in your browser.

My pages are also upside down.

Use Rotate PDF, which can target specific pages.
