End to end, not layered
This joins files in sequence — the second starts when the first finishes. It does not mix them together over one another, which is a different operation.
The usual reasons are assembling a podcast from separately recorded segments, combining chapters of an audiobook, joining voice notes into one file, or building a continuous track from several recordings.
Mismatched files are handled
Audio files from different sources rarely share a sample rate or channel layout — one recorded at 44.1 kHz in stereo, another at 48 kHz in mono. Joining those without conversion either fails outright or produces audio that plays at the wrong speed.
Everything is resampled to a common format before joining, so files from a phone, a laptop and a downloaded track combine without you having to think about it.
Order
Files join in the order shown, and the arrows move them. Alphabetical order from a folder is rarely the order you want, and "part 10" sorts before "part 2".
Blending the joins
A hard cut between two recordings is audible, particularly when the room tone differs. The blend option fades briefly between them, which smooths the transition. Leave it off for spoken word where the gap is deliberate.
Format
MP3 for compatibility, M4A for slightly better quality at the same size, WAV when the result is going into an editor and you want no further loss.

Common questions
Does it mix the files together?
No, it joins them in sequence. Mixing over one another is a different operation.
Can I join files from different sources?
Yes. Everything is resampled to a common format first, which is what makes mismatched files work.
How do I set the order?
The arrows next to each file. They join top to bottom.
Should I use the blend?
Yes when room tone differs between recordings. No when the gap between them is deliberate.
How many files can I join?
Up to twenty, two hours in total.
